Quote from Bob Smith :That was hardly a criticising comment. I like his ideas. I'll bring my iron underpants for some extra leverage in any tug-o-war.

sorry if i saounded a bit harsh.

i know how hard it is to run something, and having everyone wanting their say in it.

Quote from anttt69 :This event looks very promising. I have a few ideas to put forward that I hope will greatly increase the fun factor of the go-karting. (& afterwards)

Seems that you are going to hire the track for a whole day, why not run two events on that day. It seems a waste just to run one, long & possibly boring enduro. How about a Grand Prix style event in the morning, heat racing every man for himself type of thing. Then a team enduro event in the afternoon?

Also what would be the general concensous on a 5 a side torny &/or a tug o war competition for afters?

+1 for May/June as the British summer is so completely screwed these days, also we wont have to wait as long for it to come around.

plzzzzzzzzz

the guy is doing his hardest to set this up......if you dont like what you see, then do your own weekend........

thanks for all your comments.

becky, yours was very helpful.

ive been a few times to the track for testing, and even then the food? prices were not good.......so i shall be selfsufficent.

as far as ear plugs go.......i dont care how i look, (you should see my boatrace!)......and i did go to the camping 300 this year in the states, so i know how important they are, but thanks again.

Quote from CSU1 : Two very sexy women s******ed at me this morning calling me and my friend gey, and mouthed off with some very rude words because i bought 4 scones at the supermarket till???

I never realised...a lot of things have started to come together in my head now, i need to eat less scones at work and coffee shops

Are they?

maybe it had nothing to do with you buying the scones.

perhaps it was the fact you were holding your friends d*ck!

a thousand apologies...couldnt resist that one!

putting all the racing details aside, i would stake a weeks wages that this was just another stab at ron dennis and mclaren by the FIA and a certain "person" within that organisation.

I gently lean over in my chair so that my right buttock is lifted off said chair and let one fly.
then i take the next corner one handed as im wafting my delicious fart around the room, usually to the dismay of my other half.

but it would punish the person causing the accident too...and unless they hit the same guy everytime it would be fair.

just an idea.........

as LFS is a sim, and not a game, and with some shocking driving standards online i had an idea.

in real life, if your car was damaged, you had to pay for repairs or new parts.
if you are a skillful, safe, courtious driver, i would expect your garage bill to be light.
the opposite would apply to a hotheaded unskilled moron.

like in the early days of LFS, you got money by racing offline, the better your result, the more cash you had.
now if that money could be transfered across into the online world, so if you had a lot of shunts you had to pay for it out of your virtual account.

i know it wouldnt take into account who was to blame, but if you drove badly all the time, your funds would soon be wiped out.....hey presto....you days of online racing are cut until you gain enough funds from sensible offline racing.

hopefully this will have two positive sideaffects.

1. the servers would soon be filled with clean decent racers
2. the loons who wreck a lot would be forced to learn to race offline, and if they dont.......no cash.....................
no cash means no repairs.

how differcult would it be for the devs to work out the cost of a front wing, burnt out clutch or overworked tyres?

hopefully this would encourage racers to think about their car and maybe, just maybe reduce to amount of stupid dangerous driving that for me is begining to ruin such an excellent racing sim.

i look forward to your thoughts, good or bad.

take care, race hard.....but fair.

Im not bored.

but i am sick to the back teeth with the total idiots that race on LFS now.

racing incidents are annoying, but they will always happen, heck, ive done loads myself, im no saint.

what im talking about are the ignorant fools who join the server midrace on, block you in the pitlane and then either wreck you on purpose, or do it trying to stop you passing......replay anyone?

then there are the tossers who must decide to make decent racers life hell by just driving like complete morons. attempting unrealistic pass's, must win driving at T1 when there are 8 laps to pass/win in, totally ignoring blue flags, then denying they saw them...........replay anyone?

what does the server admin do? "please drive properly"

well, thats going to shake them down to their boots isnt it?

ban them.............ban them for a week. maybe that might make them stop and think.

nice one on your championship win!

glad you didnt suffer any injurys, the vid was very good to watch.

im guessing that as good as it is, "racing" on LFS must be a litle bit of a comedown after the real thing!

good luck on next season as defending champion.

Quote from MAGGOT :I would have loved to hear a cover of Song 2... Never heard it covered before. (Except that terrible girl band cover.. forget who it was...)

Congrats on a successful gig. 80 people and 20 songs is a LOT for a first gig. Kudos!

thanks! watching half a dozen 30/40 somethings leaping about like idiots to "Paranoid" made me feel pretty good!

we are doing an open mic gig this saturday and song 2 is one of the numbers planned.
if i get it videoed i will put it on youtube.

Quote from Becky Rose :I'm confused. Hamilton handed the place back and did not have a mommentum advantage over Raikkonnen. Further, from what I remember of the incident I dont think Hamilton was particularly at fault for having to take to the escape road. Even Charlie Whiting said it was a fair move, but seems to have been over-ruled by the need to have a red car win the championship.

Ridiculous.

ditto.

i honestly will feel dirty if i watch another F1 race.

Its a week ago now, but ive been busy at work.....but last Saturday night we were playing our first gig.

about 80 people turned up to see us, friends, family and work mates.

we did a little sound check, which got a few folks to check us out, and then we waited for 20:30 to come and kicked (no pun intended) off with The undertones "Teenage kicks".

i will never forget the reaction we got.........everyone went nuts. it was like a wave of sound hitting me...incredible feeling.

after that we did eight more numbers and had a break, then nine more for the second set and finished.

Folks were dancing and wanted more, so we gave them three tunes we had done earlier, ones they requested.

and that was that. overall i would give us 7/10, not bad for a first effort. everyone said what a good time they had and we shall be playing again in november.
